This is SprueSentry strategy commentary, not official rules. The detachment rule below is confirmed against the free Necrons Faction Pack, which reprinted or amended it, and was re-verified on 27 August 2026 against v1.2 of that pack, the version made legal for matched play by the 26 August 2026 balance update. The stratagem and enhancement lists come from the 10th-edition codex and are cross-checked across two independent community rules mirrors. The Detachment Point cost and enhancement points here were checked against Munitorum Field Manual v1.3 (26 August 2026) and match it, but they move with dataslates, so confirm them in the Warhammer 40,000 app before a game.
Your deployment zone is always within your Power Matrix. No Man's Land joins it for a phase if you control at least half the objectives there, and your opponent's deployment zone likewise. Cryptek and Canoptek units re-roll Hit rolls of 1, and re-roll the Hit roll outright while wholly within the Matrix. An area with no objective markers never counts as inside the Matrix.
2CP. A Cryptek or Canoptek unit wholly within your Matrix gains Devastating Wounds; the Faction Pack rewrote the effect to this.
1CP. A Canoptek unit within 8" of a just-moved enemy makes a Normal move of up to 6"; the Faction Pack tightened this trigger from 9" to 8".
1CP. Pick an objective within 18" of a Cryptek; Necrons weapons gain Ignores Cover against units within range of it.
1CP. A targeted Canoptek unit can only be shot at by attackers within 18".
1CP. A charged Canoptek unit wholly within your Matrix activates its Reanimation Protocols before the fight.
1CP. When a Cryptek is destroyed, Canoptek models add 1 to Hit and Wound rolls against the killer for the rest of the battle.
Cryptek only. Once per phase, an enemy charging the bearer's unit rolls a D6 and suffers D3 mortal wounds on a 2 to 5, or 3 on a 6.
Cryptek only. While the bearer's unit is wholly within your Matrix it re-rolls Wound rolls of 1, stacking with the rule's Hit re-rolls.
Cryptek only. Each time your opponent gains CP from an ability, roll a D6; on a 2+ you gain 1CP. The Faction Pack FAQ confirms this triggers only on abilities.
Cryptek only. The bearer's unit gains Infiltrators, so a Cryptek-led Canoptek unit can start up the board and flip No Man's Land into your Matrix early.

Canoptek Court is the Necrons Cryptek-and-Canoptek construct detachment: a 3-Detachment-Point package that controls the midfield with a self-repairing swarm of Wraiths, Scarabs and Crypteks. It reflects Warhammer 40,000 11th edition (Necrons Faction Pack v1.2, legal for matched play from 26 August 2026).

Your deployment zone is always inside your Power Matrix. No Man's Land counts as inside it while you control at least half the objectives there, and the enemy zone too if you hold the majority of its objectives (an area with no objectives is never inside the Matrix). *Cryptek and Canoptek units re-roll Hit rolls of 1 — and re-roll all failed Hit rolls while wholly within the Matrix.* So the detachment rewards pushing forward to expand your Matrix and light up full re-rolls across the board.

Take it when your collection is Canoptek-heavy (Wraiths especially) and you want a durable, objective-controlling midboard army rather than a gunline. It excels on Take-and-Hold board control while still killing hard targets through Cynosure, and it's one of the stronger Necron detachments. At 3 DP it uses your whole budget and can't take a support.
Sample gameplan: Infiltrate Wraiths (Dimensional Sanctum) and Scarabs to contest No Man's Land turn one so it flips into your Matrix for full Hit re-rolls. Advance Wraiths and Doomstalkers to hold the middle; when you need a kill, stack Cynosure of Eradication (Devastating Wounds) and Solar Pulse (Ignores Cover). On defence, use Reactive Subroutines to reposition, Countertemporal Shift to blunt shooting, and Suboptimal Facade before a charge. Grind them off objectives while a Reanimator keeps your board presence topped up.
3 DP — the full budget at 2,000 points, so it can't be paired with a support detachment. It's a self-contained construct-swarm package.
Power Matrix: your Cryptek and Canoptek units re-roll Hit rolls of 1, and re-roll all failed Hit rolls while wholly within your Power Matrix. The Matrix covers your deployment zone plus any area where you hold enough objectives, rewarding a forward push.
The June 2026 Faction Pack rewrote Cynosure of Eradication to grant Devastating Wounds, and tightened Reactive Subroutines' trigger range from 9" to 8". Cryptek characters also became Support rather than Leader across the faction.
Canoptek Wraiths as the core beatstick, backed by Scarab Swarms for screening, Doomstalkers for ranged killpower with Cynosure, and Crypteks to carry the enhancements and fuel reanimation.
