Brass Stampede is the big-beast and cavalry battle formation for Blades of Khorne in Age of Sigmar 4th edition, making mass charges more reliable. As always, verify the exact rule and any point changes in the current sources.

What the formation does

It adds to your charge rolls based on how many friendly Cavalry or Monster units have already charged nearby that phase. The more beasts you commit, the more reliable each subsequent charge becomes, letting a wave of heavy units land together.

Who it suits

Players who love an army of Bloodthirsters, Skullcrushers, Bloodcrushers and other big models crashing in as a coordinated hammer, and who want to minimise the risk of a game-losing failed charge.

Key units

  • Mighty Skullcrushers and Bloodcrushers as the cavalry core
  • Bloodthirster variants and Skarbrand as Monster hammers
  • Karanak and Flesh Hounds for speed and to help set up charges
  • A Bloodsecrator or Slaughterpriest for support

When to pick it

Pick Brass Stampede when your list is built around multiple Cavalry and/or Monster units and you plan to win through decisive, reliable charges rather than a grinding infantry game.

Common questions

How many Cavalry or Monsters do I need for it to pay off?

The benefit scales with how many have already charged nearby, so it rewards committing several units in the same phase. A list with just one or two big models gets far less from it than a genuine wave.

Does Murderlust stack with this for charges?

They work toward the same goal of reliable charges: Murderlust lets you replace a charge die (at a mortal-damage cost), while Brass Stampede boosts the roll itself. Used together they make key charges much safer. Confirm exact interactions on current warscrolls.
