Warrior Kinband is the most aggressive of the four Fyreslayers battle formations, buffing the wound rolls of infantry that charged that turn. It is a common default because it amplifies the army's core strength: close-combat damage. Exact wording and any conditions should be confirmed in the current faction pack, as formation details can shift with Battlescrolls.

What the formation does

It adds to the wound rolls of friendly Fyreslayers infantry units that charged in the same turn, sharpening the damage spike on the turn you commit your hammer units. Combined with an offensive rune, a charging block can hit far above its points.

Who it suits

Players who want a proactive, infantry-forward brawl and are comfortable timing charges. It rewards buffing your Hearthguard Berzerkers and swinging on your terms rather than sitting back.

Key units

  • Hearthguard Berzerkers β€” the elite hammer that benefits most from the charge bonus.
  • Vulkite Berzerkers β€” numerous chargers and screens.
  • Auric Runemaster β€” to empower an offensive rune on the alpha turn.
  • Auric Runefather/Runeson β€” hit and attack auras to stack onto the charge.

When to pick it

Pick it when your list is infantry-heavy and you intend to win through melee, or against armies you can reliably catch in combat. It is weaker if your opponent can avoid your charges, since the bonus only applies on the turn you charge.

Common questions

Does the wound bonus apply every turn?

No β€” it keys off charging, so it benefits units that charged that turn. Against evasive foes you may not get to charge, which is the main downside; confirm the exact condition in the current faction pack.

Is it good for Magmadroth-centric lists?

It is aimed at infantry rather than monsters. If Magmadroths are your centrepiece, Scales of Vulcatrix is usually the better fit.
