The Taker Tribe is themed around greedy gargants that collect trophies. In AoS 4th edition it is best known for granting a bonus artefact of power and, uniquely for this faction, a path to using manifestations via a specific item. This is a general summary; confirm the exact rule and any artefact list in your current faction pack.

What the formation does

Grants access to an extra artefact of power for a friendly non-unique hero (from the tribe's 'Titanic Trophies'-style selection), boosting one of your monsters with a bespoke bonus. It is also the faction's rare doorway into manifestation/summoning support through a specific artefact.

Who it suits

Players who want extra flexibility and a customizable hero, or who value having any access to manifestations in an otherwise magic-less army. A good all-rounder pick.

Key units

  • A non-unique Mega-Gargant hero to carry the bonus artefact
  • Supporting Mega-Gargants and Mancrushers as usual
  • The specific artefact-bearer if you want manifestation access

When to pick it

Choose Taker when you want the extra artefact edge, a more flexible toolkit, or a bit of magic support. Verify the current artefact options and wording before locking it in.

Common questions

Does Taker Tribe give me spells?

Not directly - it gives artefacts, and one specific artefact opens limited manifestation/summoning use. It is the closest this melee army gets to magic. Check the current artefact text.

Is the bonus artefact worth it?

Often yes, since an extra buff on a centerpiece monster is impactful in such a small army. Confirm which artefacts are currently available and their effects.
