[Chorus of Condemnation](/40k/armies/adepta-sororitas/detachments/chorus-of-condemnation) (1 DP) plus [Bringers of Flame](/40k/armies/adepta-sororitas/detachments/bringers-of-flame) (2 DP) is exactly 3 Detachment Points, a full Strike Force budget, and it is unambiguously legal: neither detachment carries a Unique Tag.
It is also the most coherent shooting army the Sisters can field, because both halves want the same thing from you, which is to move forward and fire.
Why the two halves agree
Most detachment pairings are a compromise between two plans. This one is not.
Bringers of Flame gives every Adepta Sororitas ranged weapon in your army [ASSAULT], and adds +1 Strength to attacks against units within 6 inches. That is a rule telling you to advance and shoot at close range.
Chorus of Condemnation gives your INFANTRY FLY units the ability to condemn an enemy within 12 inches, granting detection range against it, and hands you a stratagem chain that fires an Exorcist and jump-pack units at the same target in sequence. That is a rule telling you to push fast units up the board and coordinate fire.
Neither asks you to sit still. Neither asks you to give up shooting to move. A Seraphim squad that advances 6 inches, condemns a target, and still fires with [ASSAULT] weapons at +1 Strength is getting both detachment rules on the same activation, and nothing is wasted.
And the keyword coverage barely overlaps. Bringers of Flame is army-wide, so it applies to everything. Chorus of Condemnation applies only to INFANTRY FLY units and Exorcists. So the specialist detachment is buffing a subset that the core detachment is already buffing, rather than competing for different models.
The turn that wins games
This pairing has a specific sequence worth rehearsing, because it uses both detachments and costs 2CP.
1. Advance your Seraphim toward the target. Bringers of Flame's [ASSAULT] means advancing does not cost you the shooting phase. 2. Condemn the target with Condemnatory Psalms, if it is visible and within 12 inches. 3. Position so the Seraphim are within 9 inches of the target. This is the step people get wrong: Harmonised Exorcism measures from your FLY unit, not from the Exorcist. Your angels are the spotters; the tank stays safe. 4. Fire the Exorcist using Harmonised Exorcism (1CP) for +1 to hit. 5. Fire the Seraphim using Devastating Reprise (1CP) at a unit the Exorcist just hit, for [DEVASTATING WOUNDS], at +1 Strength because they are inside 6 inches.
The limit, stated plainly: Devastating Reprise excludes MONSTER and VEHICLE units. This chain kills infantry. Your anti-tank has to come from somewhere else, which in practice means the Exorcist firing normally, melta in your Battle Sisters squads, or a Castigator.
Watch the CP budget. Bringers of Flame raised Cleansing Flames and Blazing Ire to 2CP in the current pack. Combined with the 2CP the chain above costs, you cannot fire everything every turn. Pick the chain or pick the flamer stratagem.
What to build it with
The non-negotiables: at least one [Exorcist](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-exorcist-new), because two of Chorus of Condemnation's three stratagems name it, and at least one [Seraphim Squad](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-seraphim-squad-new) to act as the spotter.
The core: [Battle Sisters Squads](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-battle-sisters-squad-new) and [Retributor Squads](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-retributor-squad-new), all of whom get [ASSAULT] and the close-range Strength bonus on every gun. Retributors also had their Storm of Retribution rewritten by the pack to re-roll Hit and Wound rolls of 1, improving to +1 on both against a unit that has killed one of your units.
The transport: an [Immolator](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-immolator-new) or two. Three of Bringers of Flame's six stratagems care about TRANSPORT models, and Rites of Fire only works on a unit that disembarked this turn.
The character: a [Canoness with Jump Pack](/40k/boxes/adepta-sororitas-canoness-w-jump-pack) carrying Chorus of Condemnation's Clarion of Urgency, so she can retreat to strategic reserves after leading from the front.
Enhancement note. You may take enhancements from both detachments, subject to your army's normal allowance. The Symphonic Payload Upgrade (10 pts, Exorcist only, re-roll the weapon's Attacks roll) is close to mandatory given how much this list asks of the Exorcist.
This is SprueSentry strategy commentary, not official rules. Written against the official Adepta Sororitas Faction Pack version 1.2, legal for matched play from 26 August 2026, with Detachment Point costs, force dispositions, Unique Tags and enhancement points from the official Munitorum Field Manual version 1.3, read on 27 August 2026. Adepta Sororitas were part of the 26 August reissue, so the pack was current on the day this was written. Enhancement points are dataslate-volatile; the Warhammer 40,000 app is the final word.
Common questions
Is Chorus of Condemnation plus Bringers of Flame legal?
Yes, unambiguously. Chorus of Condemnation costs 1 Detachment Point and Bringers of Flame costs 2, for exactly the 3 DP a Strike Force budget provides, and neither detachment carries a Unique Tag. The only Adepta Sororitas pairing with an open legality question is Sacred Champions plus Champions of Faith.
Do I measure Harmonised Exorcism from the Exorcist or from my jump-pack unit?
From your jump-pack unit. The stratagem asks you to select a unit visible to and within 9 inches of a friendly Adepta Sororitas Infantry Fly unit, and grants your Exorcist +1 to hit against it. Your angels act as forward observers while the Exorcist stays wherever it is safe, which is the opposite of how most players first read it.
Can this pairing handle vehicles?
Only outside its main combo. Devastating Reprise, which supplies the [DEVASTATING WOUNDS], explicitly excludes MONSTER and VEHICLE units, so the Exorcist-to-angels chain is an anti-infantry tool. Anti-tank has to come from the Exorcist shooting normally, melta weapons in your Battle Sisters squads, or a separate vehicle such as a Castigator.
How much Command Point does this list need per turn?
More than you will have. The signature chain of Harmonised Exorcism plus Devastating Reprise costs 2CP by itself, and Bringers of Flame's Cleansing Flames and Blazing Ire were both raised to 2CP in Faction Pack version 1.2. Plan on firing either the Exorcist chain or one of the expensive Bringers of Flame stratagems in a given turn, not both.
