Sanctified Orators plus Army of Faith: the Adepta Sororitas Character List
3 DP, legal, and the most enhancement value the Sisters can legally field. Two Acts of Faith per phase, and one enhancement that does not count.

[Sanctified Orators](/40k/armies/adepta-sororitas/detachments/sanctified-orators) (1 DP) plus [Army of Faith](/40k/armies/adepta-sororitas/detachments/army-of-faith) (2 DP) is exactly 3 Detachment Points and is unambiguously legal: neither carries a Unique Tag.
It is the sharpest character-forward army in the faction, and the reason is a small rules interaction rather than a big buff.
Why these two specifically
Your army has a fixed enhancement allowance. That allowance is the constraint on character-heavy Sororitas lists, because the faction's enhancements are unusually strong and you always want more of them than you can fit.
Sanctified Orators' detachment rule breaks that constraint. Enhancements selected from it do not count towards the total number of enhancements in your army. So its Hagiomnifex is, in effect, free capacity.
Army of Faith is the detachment that most wants more enhancements, because it has four worth taking and three of them generate Miracle dice:
| Enhancement | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Divine Aspect | 5 pts | Force a Battle-shock test within 12 inches; gain 1 Miracle dice if it fails |
| Litanies of Faith | 10 pts | Leadership test in your Command phase; gain 1 Miracle dice if passed |
| Blade of Saint Ellynor | 15 pts | +1 S and AP, [PRECISION], gain 1 Miracle dice on a kill |
| Triptych of the Macharian Crusade | 20 pts | Acts of Faith substituting a save always succeed, whatever the dice |
So you have a detachment that spends Miracle dice twice as fast, a set of enhancements that refill them, and a second detachment that lets you carry one more enhancement than the rules would otherwise allow. The three parts feed each other.
The Triptych is the centrepiece
Triptych of the Macharian Crusade (20 pts): each time the bearer uses an Act of Faith to substitute a saving throw, that saving throw is successful, irrespective of the value of the Miracle dice used.
Read that against Sacred Rites, which lets every unit perform two Acts of Faith per phase, and the interaction is obvious: the bearer's unit can force two automatically successful saves per phase, using whatever dice you like.
And it fixes the pool's structural weakness. Miracle dice are rolled when gained and keep that value, so roughly half your pool is 1s, 2s and 3s that you never want to spend. The Triptych makes those your best dice, because a 1 substituted into a save succeeds exactly as well as a 6 does. Dead capacity becomes live capacity.
Meanwhile the Hagiomnifex (25 pts, from Sanctified Orators, and not counting against your allowance) sits on a second character as a once-per-turn menu. Sermon of Intolerance, which makes battle-shock rolls automatically succeed, is the pick that most often matters, because a battle-shocked unit has Objective Control 0 and holds nothing.
Remember you gain a dice every turn, not every battle round. This list spends aggressively and refills quickly, which is the opposite of how the Sisters are usually played.
What to build it with, and the one restriction
Characters, and more of them than feels reasonable. A [Canoness](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-canoness-new) or [Palatine](/40k/boxes/adepta-sororitas-palatine-new) for the Litanies of Faith, which is restricted to those two. A [Ministorum Priest](/40k/boxes/adepta-sororitas-ministorum-priest) as the cheapest efficient body for the Hagiomnifex. [Intranzia Fraye](/40k/boxes/adepta-sororitas-intranzia-fraye-dogmata-superior), one of the pack's three new datasheets, is the newest character option.
Dice quality support. An [Imagifier](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-imagifier-new) re-rolls Miracle dice as you gain them. The [Triumph of Saint Katherine](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-the-triumph-of-st-katherine-new), whose Solemn Procession the pack rewrote, gives a dice gained at the start of the round a flat value of 6 while it is on the battlefield.
The bodies. Sacred Rites applies to every Adepta Sororitas unit, so several [Battle Sisters Squads](/40k/boxes/warhammer-sisters-of-battle-adepta-sororitas-battle-sisters-squad-new) extract more from it than one elite block would.
One pack change to plan around: the Rules Updates moved Dialogus, Dogmata, Hospitaller and Imagifier from Leader to Support, which changes how you attach them.
And the one real restriction on this pairing: the Hagiomnifex excludes PENITENT units. That does not bite here, because nothing in Army of Faith gives a model the PENITENT keyword. It only becomes a problem if you were also running Penitent Host, whose Catechism of Divine Penitence hands a Canoness, Palatine or Ministorum Priest that keyword. In this pairing you are free.
This is SprueSentry strategy commentary, not official rules. Written against the official Adepta Sororitas Faction Pack version 1.2, legal for matched play from 26 August 2026, with Detachment Point costs, force dispositions, Unique Tags and enhancement points from the official Munitorum Field Manual version 1.3, read on 27 August 2026. Adepta Sororitas were part of the 26 August reissue, so the pack was current on the day this was written. Enhancement points are dataslate-volatile; the Warhammer 40,000 app is the final word.
Common questions
Is Sanctified Orators plus Army of Faith legal?
Yes, unambiguously. Sanctified Orators costs 1 Detachment Point and Army of Faith costs 2, for exactly the 3 DP a Strike Force budget provides, and neither carries a Unique Tag. The only Adepta Sororitas pairing with an open legality question is Sacred Champions plus Champions of Faith.
Do I really get a free enhancement out of this?
Effectively yes. Sanctified Orators' detachment rule states that enhancements selected from it do not count towards the total number of enhancements in your army, and the detachment lists exactly one, the Hagiomnifex at 25 points. You still pay its points cost; what you do not spend is a slot in your army's enhancement allowance.
Why is the Triptych of the Macharian Crusade so good here?
Because Army of Faith's Sacred Rites lets each unit perform two Acts of Faith per phase instead of one, and the Triptych makes any Act of Faith that substitutes a saving throw succeed regardless of the Miracle dice value used. That turns the low dice in your pool, which you would otherwise never spend, into guaranteed saves, and lets the bearer's unit force two of them per phase.
Does the Hagiomnifex restriction cause a problem in this list?
No. The Hagiomnifex cannot go on PENITENT units, but nothing in Army of Faith grants the PENITENT keyword, so every character in this pairing is eligible. The restriction only matters if you are running Penitent Host, whose Catechism of Divine Penitence enhancement gives a Canoness, Palatine or Ministorum Priest that keyword.
