About Chaos Daemons

Warp-spawned legions of the Chaos Gods.

Chaos Daemons are the neverborn of the Warp: entities of rage, change, plague, and excess given form. They do not build empires in the Materium the way Traitor Legions do. They erupt through rifts, answer sorcerous summons, and vanish when the veil closes.

Collectors often start with a Combat Patrol or a god-focused Battleforce, then add characters and daemon engines that match the colour scheme they paint. Secondary-market prices swing hard around new releases and OOP seasonal boxes.

Themes: Warp · Chaos Gods · Daemon engines

Where to start

Start with Combat Patrol: Chaos Daemons if you want a sealed floor. Add a named daemon character next. Watch Battleforce drops for bulk value.

Books that feature them

Black Library titles collectors often pair with this army. Short notes only. Not affiliated with Games Workshop.

  • The Crimson Path
    Chris Wraight · Warhammer 40,000

A grounded look at how mortal ambition and daemonic bargains collide. Useful tone for World Eaters-adjacent collectors.

  • Ahriman: Exile
    John French · Ahriman

Tzeentchian scheming and the cost of sorcery. Good companion reading if you collect Thousand Sons or Tzeentch daemons.

  • Lord of the Night
    Simon Spurrier · Warhammer 40,000

Night Lords and the terror of the Warp's edges. Atmosphere over army lists.
