Iron Tread
One clause, and it removes a dice roll rather than adding a bonus. Each time a SQUADRON unit from your army Advances, do not make an Advance roll for it; until the end of the phase add 6 inches to the Move characteristic of models in that unit, and when making that Advance move that unit can move within Engagement Range of enemy models but cannot end that move within Engagement Range of them. Three things follow. The 6 inches is guaranteed rather than a D6, so a Leman Russ Advance is a reliable planning number instead of a gamble, which is what makes tank movement predictable enough to build a turn around. The permission to move through Engagement Range means screens do not stop you: your tanks drive over the chaff and out the other side, though they cannot stop there. And it names SQUADRON, so it is your tanks and not your infantry. This is the faction's tank-mobility detachment and the one that answers the standard complaint that Guard armour is slow. Note the evidence tier: Faction Pack v1.2 neither prints nor amends this detachment anywhere, so everything on this page rests on community mirrors and it is the weakest-sourced page in our Astra Militarum set.
