Take Reclamation Force when you keep losing games on points rather than on models. It is a detachment for players who already have a decent army but do not convert board presence into score, and it is unusually honest about that: both halves of the rule are worthless in the open field and strong the moment you are standing on a marker.
It is not a killing detachment. There is no army-wide re-roll, no Strength bonus, no doctrine to time. What you get instead is an AP step where it counts, a defensive shield against oversized weapons, sticky objectives, and a charge bonus to reach the marker you want. Against something like Ironstorm Spearhead or Headhunter Task Force, which are both 2 DP and both about killing things efficiently, Reclamation Force is the deliberately mission-focused alternative.
At 2 DP it leaves 1 DP spare at 2,000 points, and it pairs particularly well with a mobile support like Fulguris Task Force, which reaches the objectives an infantry line cannot.
Sample gameplan: deploy to contest the midfield markers early and use Crusading Conquerors when a marker is genuinely contested. Push a Liberatum character with Assault Intercessors or Bladeguard into whoever is holding the objective you want, opening with Furious Dedication for +2 on the charge and an extra attack each. Once you hold it, use Ultramarian Destiny to make the marker sticky so the unit can move on, keep Fight to the End for the turn a fight goes badly, and use Marching Ever On to chase down an opponent trying to disengage and re-contest.
